Matt Collins is the Founder & CEO of Samurai Kickboxing which started 14 years ago due to his 4 year old nephew’s desire to learn kickboxing with a few of his mates. The 1st Samurai Kickboxing class was born & we've literally grown from there!

As we’ve expanded, Samurai Kickboxing has remained a family affair as Matt's sister Paula is the Managing Director.

There are a lot of misconceptions about kickboxing & you may be wondering if it's right for your child.
Our classes are safe, professional, fun & engaging & way more than just kickboxing.
We are dedicated to high quality kickboxing teaching & helping our students become better versions of themselves.
It all begins with a FREE TRIAL CLASS
Bring your child to one of our classes & see what you think. We know you won’t be disappointed!
Our classes are split by age because we know one size doesn’t fit all...
Mini Samurai - Age 3 & 4
Little Samurai - Age 4 - School Year 2
Young Samurai - School Years 3 - 6
Samurai Kickboxers & Teenage Fitness Kickboxing - School Year 7-10
Adult Fitness Kickboxing - Years 11+
All our Instructors are qualified martial artists & have:
Advanced DBS
Paediatric First Aid
Child Protection Certification
Every Instructor is fully trained in our kickboxing syllabus, which is age group specific to ensure the students are taught appropriate to their developmental stage.
Do you have Gradings?
As children progress through our syllabus, they can take a Grading to receive their 1st or next belt. Gradings are a regular feature of kickboxing but are completely optional. There's more info about the Grading process here.
Is there Sparring?
Only once students are older or more experienced kickboxers do we start to include light pad work & sparring. There's more info about Sparring here.
Can your classes help with bullying?
We incorporate anti-bullying & self-protection techniques into our Kickboxing classes & also run sessions for schools, particularly for children transitioning from Year 6 in Primary School to Year 7 in Secondary School. More info about Bullying & our Kickboxing classes can be found here.
Do you run holiday camps?
We have holiday camps every school holiday for children age 4-12 (in Jersey, our camps are for age 6 - 12). They learn kickboxing techniques through fun games & may even take their 1st Grading. It's no wonder they come back again & again! More info about our Holiday Camps can be found here.
Can students attend Tournaments?
Every year, we have our own Tournaments in the UK & Jersey, to give students a taste of competitive martial arts in a fun & safe environment. More info about our Tournaments can be found here.
