 EVENT OF THE YEAR!

We encourage all of our students to attend regardless of age or experience so they can demonstrate all they have learnt in their lessons, in a safe & controlled environment. It's a fantastic opportunity for parents to see what their children have been learning too!

Whether your child has only had one lesson or they are a senior grade, they can compete for a Bronze, Silver or Gold medal in the categories (listed below), against students of their age & ability.

We recommend that students participate in multiple categories regardless of experience - they will find it incredibly rewarding & it will build their confidence.

 CATEGORIES.

HIGH KICK - students perform a kick against a measure to see who can get the highest in their age & height category.

POWER TECHNIQUE - students break a board with a hand or foot technique. The person who breaks a board that no one else can, wins!

SEQUENCE - students perform techniques from the belt below their grade. The student who has the most power, flow & technical accuracy wins.

SPARRING - only for: Little Samurai - Purple Tag & above / Young Samurai Yellow Stripe & above / Samurai Kickboxers - Red Colour & above

Students score points against each other by delivering controlled kicks & punches against target areas on their opponent. The student with the most points at the end of the contest wins.

Students must have their own sparring equipment approved by Samurai Kickboxing & which can be purchased from our online shop.

For health reasons, sparring equipment may not be shared among students.

 AWARDS.

We present the following prestigious awards at the Tournament.

STUDENT OF THE YEAR - presented to a student who has consistently demonstrated a high standard of technical ability as well as the positive behaviour traits required to become an elite martial artist.

NICK METCALFE AWARD - presented to a student who is polite, determined, passionate, dedicated, demonstrates exceptional 'true grit' & has respect for others. Technical kickboxing ability is also important which is why the Nick Metcalfe Award is presented to a great all-round martial artist - just like Nick who was a fellow martial artist & friend of Matt's (Owner & Chief Instructor) who tragically died in a car crash.

PRICE.

£25 per student
£10 each additional sibling

Refreshments are available to purchase at the Tournament.

PLEASE NOTE: We will be video recording & taking photos at the event for marketing purposes. We will ask you for your signed consent for this when you book.
